About the Position

A busy and well-established women’s health practice in Richmond, Virginia is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Physician (MD/DO) for an urgent locum coverage opportunity. This assignment is needed due to a physician being on medical leave, creating an immediate need for a skilled provider who can step into a fast-paced and collaborative clinical environment.

The role includes a combination of outpatient clinic care and inpatient hospital call coverage, providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic services. Providers will work alongside experienced physicians, midwives, and dedicated clinical support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

The practice manages a steady patient volume with approximately 25–30 scheduled patients per day, and the provider will participate in shared call coverage. The clinical environment is modern and efficient, with access to onsite diagnostic services and experienced technicians supporting patient care.

This opportunity is ideal for a local OB/GYN physician looking for a structured locum assignment within a supportive, team-oriented practice.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
• Active Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of submission
• Must be a local provider (mileage reimbursement only)
• Ability to manage OB/GYN care in both clinic and hospital settings
