About the Position

A healthcare organization in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Locum Urology Physician to provide clinic coverage, scheduled surgeries, and weekend/night call from June through December. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment with established support staff, including RNs and CNAs, and to assist the permanent provider in managing post-op rounding, consults, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cover clinic sessions (15–20 patients/day; 2–3 procedures per day)

• Perform scheduled and emergent urologic surgeries (3–4/day on surgery days)

• Conduct cystoscopy and dilation procedures

• Participate in weekend/night call coverage with defined rates for nightly, holiday, and callback hours

• Round on post-op and inpatient consult patients while on call

• Document patient encounters accurately in EPIC EMR

• Collaborate with a team of 3 RNs and 1 CNA

Requirements

• Board-Certified Urologist preferred; Board-Eligible within 5 years post-residency accepted

• Active North Dakota medical license highly preferred

• NPDB Self-Query report required (dated within 30 days of presentation)

• Demonstrated experience in cystoscopy, urologic surgeries, and inpatient care

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

• Must be able to travel to Bismarck, ND and provide coverage according to scheduled dates
