About the Position
We are seeking a full-time Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) to join a collaborative, mission-driven medical team serving a rural population across multiple states. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered inpatient care within a supportive interdisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct inpatient medical care, including admissions, daily rounding, and discharges

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions

Participate in code management and ventilator support

Collaborate with specialists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff to coordinate care plans

Order, interpret, and act on laboratory and diagnostic studies

Document all patient encounters, care plans, and outcomes in the EMR

Participate in hospital committees, quality initiatives, and clinical rounds

Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans

Work 12-hour day shifts with rotating call and weekend coverage
Requirements
-
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
-
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
-
Active Vermont medical license
-
Current DEA registration
-
BLS and ACLS certifications
-
Experience in ventilator management and code response
-
2–3 years hospitalist experience preferred

Clean malpractice history
-
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills
