About the Position

Emergency Medicine Physician | Louisiana

Location: Louisiana

Schedule: 12 hour shifts. Day shift 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and night shift 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Approximately 12 to 14 shifts per month (site scheduling).

Openings: 5

Position Overview

• Emergency department coverage in a community hospital setting.
• 12 hour shift coverage with site specific support staff.

Clinical Details

• Setting: Emergency Department.
• Annual ED volume: approximately 12,000 visits per year (site average).
• Trauma level: level IV.
• EMR: Cerner.

Required Qualifications

• Emergency Medicine physician (MD or DO).
• Active state medical license in Louisiana.
• DEA required.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS required (AHA required as applicable).
• Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify.
