About the Position

We are seeking a full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join a high-acuity Level III NICU team, providing specialized inpatient care to critically ill and premature newborns. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in a collaborative, physician-led environment where teamwork, clinical excellence, and family-centered care are prioritized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive inpatient neonatal care, including assessment, monitoring, and management of critically ill and premature infants

  • Conduct daily rounds and collaborate with Neonatologists and multidisciplinary teams

  • Perform neonatal procedures and support resuscitation and stabilization of high-risk newborns

  • Document care accurately using EPIC EMR or similar systems

  • Educate and counsel families on neonatal conditions and care plans

  • Work flexible 24-hour, 10-hour, and 8-hour shifts as part of a structured rotation

  • Maintain compliance with protocols, quality, and safety standards

Requirements

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)

  • Completion of an accredited Neonatal NP program

  • Active Michigan NP license (or equivalent state license)

  • Current BLS and NRP certifications

  • Ability to work varied inpatient NICU shifts

  • Strong collaboration skills in a team-based, high-acuity NICU environment

  • Experience with EPIC EMR highly preferred

  • Clean malpractice and license history with current NPDB Self-Query report
