About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified Anatomic Pathologist for a locum-to-perm assignment to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pathology services. The role offers the opportunity to perform surgical pathology, cytology, and frozen section analysis in a collaborative hospital-based laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general anatomic pathology and cytology assessments

• Conduct frozen section procedures independently using advanced cryostat equipment

• Review and interpret surgical specimens, cytology, and laboratory results

• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC/Beaker EMR system

• Collaborate with a team of pathologists, histotechnologists, and pathology assistants

• Ensure compliance with CLIA and state laboratory regulations

• Contribute to quality assurance and patient safety initiatives

Requirements

• Board-Certified in Anatomic Pathology

• Active state medical license

• Experience with surgical pathology, cytology, and frozen section analysis

• Proficiency with EPIC/Beaker EMR

• Strong knowledge of CLIA and NYS lab standards

• Ability to work independently in a hospital-based lab environment

• Must provide a current NPDB Self-Query report
