About the Position

We are seeking a full-time General Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical care in a supportive, collaborative hospital setting. This role includes inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department care, along with participation in a multidisciplinary wound care clinic.

The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in common general surgical procedures, including hernia repair, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, endoscopy, colorectal surgery, and small bowel obstruction management. You will work closely with a highly skilled surgical and perioperative team, delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive, patient-centered environment.

This position offers the opportunity to exercise clinical judgment, advance operative skills, and collaborate with specialists across multiple disciplines.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in General Surgery

  • Completion of an accredited General Surgery Residency Program

  • Active Vermont medical license

  • DEA registration

  • CPR certification for healthcare providers

  • Demonstrated proficiency in surgical techniques and procedures

  • Recent NPDB Self-Query Report (within 30 days of submission)
  • Strong clinical judgment, decision-making, and teamwork skills

  • Ability to provide care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings
