About the Position
An exciting Locum Tenens opportunity for a Board Certified Hematology Oncology Physician is available to provide coverage at a well-established outpatient cancer center in Oregon. This position offers the chance to join a collaborative oncology team focused on delivering high-quality cancer care in a modern clinical environment.
The physician will function as a key member of the oncology and hematology care team, managing patients with both malignant and benign hematologic conditions while providing advanced cancer treatment and consultation.
This role includes clinic-based oncology care, multidisciplinary collaboration, and rotating call coverage, supporting a patient population requiring specialized cancer treatment and hematologic evaluation.
The practice environment includes radiation oncology support, advanced diagnostic services, and experienced oncology staff, creating a comprehensive cancer care program for the surrounding community.
Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive Hematology and Oncology patient care in an outpatient cancer center

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat solid tumor cancers and hematologic disorders

Develop and manage personalized cancer treatment plans

Perform patient consultations, follow-ups, and treatment management

Interpret laboratory tests, pathology reports, and diagnostic imaging

Collaborate with radiation oncologists, advanced practice providers, and oncology nursing teams

Participate in shared call coverage and weekend rotation

Document care using EPIC electronic medical records

Support inpatient care when patients require hospital admission for chemotherapy

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to oncology and hematology patients

Requirements

MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Board Certification in BOTH Hematology and Oncology (Required)

Active Oregon Physician License (Required)

Active CAQH profile with login credentials

Experience managing solid tumors, hematologic disorders, and cancer therapies
