About the Position

A rewarding Locum Medical Director opportunity in Geriatric Medicine is available for a board-certified physician with leadership experience in senior care. This role provides the opportunity to lead clinical operations while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to older adults with complex and chronic medical needs within a collaborative interdisciplinary care model.

The Medical Director will oversee the clinical quality, physician leadership, and medical management of geriatric participants, ensuring coordinated care that supports independence and improves quality of life for elderly patients living in the community.

This is a full-time weekday locum leadership role offering a balanced schedule and the opportunity to work closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team including physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, therapists, and care coordinators.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

  • Active and unrestricted physician license in Massachusetts

  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (Required)

  • Board Certification or fellowship training in Geriatric Medicine (Preferred)

  • DEA registration and controlled substance certification

  • Minimum one year of clinical experience working with frail or elderly populations

  • Prior supervisory or physician leadership experience

  • Strong skills in chronic disease management, geriatric assessment, and interdisciplinary collaboration

  • Ability to work effectively in community-based senior care programs

  • Experience with quality improvement and clinical oversight initiatives
