About the Position

Provide hospital-based gastroenterology coverage in Richmond, VA 23225 during weekends. You will manage adult patients, performing outpatient and hospital procedures including colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy, ERCP, liver biopsy, small bowel biopsy, and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). The role includes managing Sengstaken/Blakemore tube placement, esophageal dilatation/manometry, and therapeutic endoscopic interventions. On average, expect 8 procedures per weekend, supporting internal medicine and hepatology services.

Shift Timings:

• Weekend coverage: March 20–23
• Hospital call (Saturday and Sunday)
• Includes all call-back responsibilities

Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology

• Active Virginia Medical License

• ERCP certification

• Flu Shot Required

• Clean Malpractice and Background History

• Self-Query NPDB report (within 30 days)

• COVID Vaccine Highly Preferred
