An excellent locum opportunity for a Gastroenterologist is available at a well-established hospital in New York. This position offers a flexible schedule with one week of coverage per month, making it ideal for providers looking to supplement their schedule while working in a supportive clinical environment.

📍 Position Highlights

⏰ Schedule

• Shift Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Schedule includes inpatient consults and elective scoping
• On-call coverage required

🔎 Clinical Details

• Approximately 40 procedures per week
• Combination of elective procedures and urgent/emergent inpatient or ER cases
• Opportunity to work with a collaborative clinical team

🩺 Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage
• Perform elective endoscopic procedures
• Evaluate and manage urgent GI consults
• Coordinate care with hospital staff and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient care standards

✔ Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Active New York medical license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA certification required
• Experience with inpatient GI procedures and endoscopy
