About the Position

We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans in Alaska. This is a PRN locum opportunity, offering flexible schedules with half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time, non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• No prescribing or ongoing patient treatment required.
• Complete follow-up administrative tasks, such as addendums, medical opinions, and diagnostic reading.
• Work from your own office within 50 miles of assigned locations (some exceptions up to 75 miles).

Current Openings:

• Juneau or Sitka – ½ day/week (within 50-mile radius)
• Delta Junction – 2 days/week (within 75-mile radius)

Quick credentialing and onboarding are provided.

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Physician license.
• Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
• Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must have a laptop (non-Mac) and be willing to complete DMA training for certification.
• Active AANP or equivalent certification.
• Recent NPDB self-query report (within 30 days).
• Must have a home office within required radius of assigned locations.

• Full-day rate: $1,600 (5 hours or more)
