About the Position
A full-time Physician Assistant (PA) is needed to join a Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team as a Nocturnist, providing overnight trauma and surgical care in a high-acuity medical environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver full-spectrum trauma and acute care surgical services overnight.
- Manage trauma admissions, emergency general surgery, and inpatient care.
- Perform evaluations, develop care plans, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Assist trauma surgeons with procedures, resuscitation, and operative support.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team.
- Maintain all documentation and workflows in Epic EMR.
- Practice autonomously while managing complex patient cases.
- Support quality, safety, and performance metrics of the Trauma Surgery service.
- Engage in professional development and leadership opportunities.

- Permanent, non-locum role.
- Visa sponsorship not available (No J-1 or H-1B).
- Candidates must have minimum 2 years of trauma surgery experience or have completed a surgical fellowship.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited PA program with a Master’s degree.
- NCCPA certified.
- Active, unrestricted PA license in Colorado.
- Eligible for DEA and Medicare/Medicaid provider status.
- BLS certification.
- Clean malpractice and license history; no HHS/OIG or GSA sanctions/exclusions.
- Recent NPDB self-query report within 30 days.
- Trauma surgery experience preferred (2+ years) or completion of a surgical fellowship.
