About the Position

We are actively seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist for a full-time locum opportunity in an adult inpatient behavioral health setting. This position offers a structured weekday schedule and the chance to work within a collaborative team focused on delivering high-quality psychiatric care to patients in need.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment for adult patients in a well-supported inpatient unit. The environment promotes teamwork and efficiency, with multiple physicians and support staff working together to ensure effective patient care and positive clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning for adult inpatient patients

• Manage medication regimens and monitor treatment effectiveness

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and behavioral health professionals

• Participate in shared call rotation

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC EMR

• Support safe and therapeutic patient care within a secure behavioral health environment

Schedule Highlights

• Monday – Friday

• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Call rotation: 1:4

• Weekend coverage included within rotation

Requirements

• Board Certified in Psychiatry – Required

• Active New York Medical License – Required at time of submission

• ACLS Certification – Required

• Clean background and professional history due to expedited credentialing

• Must be available full-time for the assignment
