About the Position

A hospital in Rome, NY, is seeking a full-time Hospitalist (MD or DO) to join a supportive inpatient team. Responsibilities include providing high-quality inpatient care, making daily rounds, admitting patients, and managing rapid responses/codes. Physicians will collaborate in an open ICU setting, coordinate with specialists and staff, and work as part of a team managing patients collectively. This position offers a supportive environment for both new graduates and experienced physicians seeking a community-oriented practice.

Shift/Call:

• 7 on / 7 off schedule (7 AM – 7 PM)

• No on-call duties

• Open ICU coverage with intensivist support

Requirements

• Board Eligible (within 1 year) or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine – required
• NY medical license or willingness to obtain – required
• Clean malpractice and license history – required
• NPDB Self Query Report within 30 days – required
• DEA, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications – required
• Full-time 7 on / 7 off schedule – required
