About the Position

Description

A healthcare facility in Rochester, New York is seeking a Physician Assistant for an inpatient hospitalist role providing overnight coverage. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment while managing hospitalized patients and supporting physicians in delivering high-quality patient care.

The provider will participate in patient assessments, treatment planning, and care coordination while utilizing the EPIC EMR system.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver inpatient hospitalist care for admitted patients

• Conduct patient evaluations and physical examinations

• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians

• Monitor patient status and modify care plans when necessary

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging

• Coordinate patient care with the hospital team

• Document clinical activities in EPIC EMR

Qualifications

• Certified Physician Assistant

• Eligible for state medical licensure

• Experience in hospital medicine or inpatient settings preferred

• Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills

Working Hours

• Night Shift: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM

• Start Date: May 1, 2026

• On-call coverage as needed
