About the Position

Seeking a Locum Neurosurgeon in Lakewood, CO at a Level I Trauma inpatient facility providing primary call coverage. The role requires strong proficiency in general neurosurgery, trauma, and spine procedures, including advanced cranial and critical care management. This position involves comprehensive neurosurgical care within a high-acuity hospital setting, supporting trauma and complex neurological cases.

The facility utilizes Epic EMR, and providers must complete required credentialing and EMR training prior to start. Ongoing coverage opportunities are anticipated following the initial assignment.

Shift Timings:

• 24-hour call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekend call required
• On-call coverage included

Requirements

• Board Certified in Neurological Surgery (Required)
• Active Colorado Medical License or IMLC LOQ (Required)
• Active ACLS & BLS certifications
• Active DEA (transferable for assignment duration)
• Recent Level I Trauma Center experience (within last year)
• Proficiency in EVD placement, ICP bolt placement, craniectomy, craniotomy, spine procedures, ICU management, and TBI care
• Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days)
• Clean malpractice and background history
