About the Position
Position Overview
A respected community hospital in Rome is seeking a full-time Hospitalist (MD/DO) to join a well-supported inpatient team. This opportunity offers a structured 7 on / 7 off daytime schedule, manageable patient census, and strong sub-specialty collaboration in a community-focused setting.
Schedule & Practice Model

7 on / 7 off schedule

7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
-
No on-call duties
-
Open ICU with 24/7 intensivist consultation

Non-trauma designated hospital

Paragon EMR
Clinical Responsibilities
-
Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care
-
Daily rounding on assigned patients (average 12–15 per physician)
-
Admit patients and manage rapid responses/codes
-
Perform patient assessments, histories, physical exams, and documentation
-
Collaborate with intensivists, specialists, and hospital staff
-
Participate in a hospitalist team collectively managing 40–50 patients per day
Qualifications
-
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
-
Board Eligible physicians must obtain Board Certification within 2 years of contract start
-

New York medical license (or willing to obtain)
-
DEA, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
-
Clean malpractice and license history
-
Must be comfortable working in an open ICU setting

Must commit to full-time 7 on / 7 off schedule
