About the Position

Emergency Medicine Physician

Location: Texas

Schedule: Day and night physician shifts with APP support. Physician shifts include 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. APP shift examples include 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM.

Position Overview

• Provide emergency medicine physician coverage in a community hospital emergency department.
• Annual emergency department volume referenced as 32,000 with average encounters per day around 87.
• Trauma designation referenced as Level III.
• Charting system: Cerner.
• Cross credentialing across affiliated sites may be required.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO.
• Board certified in Emergency Medicine through ABEM or AOBEM, or board eligible in Emergency Medicine with required certifications as accepted by the site.
• Active Texas medical license.
• DEA with Texas address and required schedules.
• Texas controlled substance registration as required.
• Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify.

Credentialing and Onboarding

• Credentialing timeline varies by site. Estimated timeframe referenced as 61 to 90 days.
• Temporary privileges may be available for clean files based on site policy.
