About the Position

An established free-standing cancer center in Greenville, South Carolina is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for a high-priority locum-to-permanent opportunity. This position offers a structured daytime schedule with strong long-term potential.

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• No call during locum assignment
• Permanent placement includes 1 week of call every 6–8 weeks
• Required availability: 4 weeks per month, 4 days per week
• Minimum 6-month initial commitment

Practice Details:

• Free-standing Cancer Center
• Adult & Geriatric patient population
• 65% Benign Hematology / 35% Malignant Oncology
• 0% Internal Medicine
• 7 Physicians & 6 APPs in practice
• Average 25 outpatient visits per day
• EPIC EMR system
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Outpatient and inpatient oncology care
• Participation in Tumor Board
• Management of Bone Marrow Transplants
• Blood Bank oversight
• Ordering imaging and diagnostic testing
• Prescribing and treatment planning
• Chemotherapy administered by Nurse Oncologists

Requirements

• Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology – Required
• Active South Carolina Medical License – Required
• BLS Certification – Required
• Active DEA – Required
• Clean background (required for emergency temps)
• Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days
• Availability commitment: 4 weeks/month, 4 days/week, minimum 6 months
• Current CV (including full locums history)
• NPI and/or License Number
• Malpractice documentation
• References (if available)
• Scope of Services (if applicable)
