About the Position

A well-established neonatology practice in Long Beach is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neonatologist for a locum tenens assignment. This is a high-impact role providing 24-hour coverage in a busy neonatal intensive care setting, offering excellent earning potential and flexible scheduling for the right provider.

• Position: Locum Tenens Physician – Neonatology

• Schedule: 24-hour coverage shifts

• Coverage Type: Short-term locum assignment, open for immediate submissions

• Patient Population: Neonates from preterm to full-term infants requiring NICU-level care

• Clinical Environment: Level II/III NICU (typical staffing with neonatologists, advanced practice providers, and nursing support)

• EMR System: Standard hospital EMR (specific system TBD)

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology – REQUIRED

• Active California Medical License (or eligible to obtain) – REQUIRED

• DEA License – REQUIRED

• BLS and NRP certifications – REQUIRED

• Neonatology experience in Level II/III NICU preferred
