About the Position
A well-established 375-bed community hospital in Fresno, California is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician for locum tenens hospitalist coverage. This respected Central Valley facility has been serving the community for nearly a century and continues to expand both its physical and virtual care footprint.
Position Highlights:
- 24-hour shifts (7:00am–7:00am; 7:00am–7:00pm; 7:00pm–7:00am)
- Approximately 20% GYN practice
- EPIC documentation system
- Community hospital setting (non-trauma designated)
- Supportive clinical environment with strong nursing and specialty collaboration
Scope of Work Includes:
- Low & High-Risk Obstetrics
- Fetal Monitoring Interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
- OB Ultrasounds (Level I & II – performance & interpretation)
- Vaginal Deliveries (routine & low forceps)
- Complex Deliveries (C-sections, breech, multiples, abruptions, etc.)
- Surgical Gynecology including ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive LOA procedures
- C-section decision-making and management

Requirements
- Board Certified in OB/GYN
- Active California Medical License
- BLS Certification
- Clean background with no malpractice history
- Self-Query NPDB (pulled within 30 days)
- Current CV (including full locums history)
- NPI and/or License Number
- Malpractice documentation
- Professional references (if available)
- Scope of Services (if applicable)
