About the Position
A 202-bed regional hospital in Petoskey, Michigan is seeking a Locum Gastroenterologist for ongoing 2026 coverage. This is a hospital-based role offering weekday daytime hours with 24-hour weekend call only — no weekday night call required.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 24-hour weekend call (Saturday & Sunday)
- No weeknight call

Practice Details
- ERCP required
- Hospital-based clinic setting
- Average volume:

18 outpatient scopes/day

- Endoscopy coverage and inpatient consults during daytime hours
- Support team includes 2 physicians and 2 APPs
- Onsite lab and X-ray services
- EMR: Cerner
- Reverse invoicing (DocTime clock-in/out system)
Requirements
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology (Truly BE considered) – Required
- Completed Fellowship with minimum 2–3 years of experience – Required
- ERCP proficiency – Required
- Active Michigan License & CSR at submission – Required
- ACLS Certification – Required
- Active DEA (verbal confirmation at name clear) – Required
- NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) – Required
- Clean background with no significant malpractice actions – Required
- COVID vaccination – Required
- Local candidates only (driving distance) – Required
- IMLC accepted only if need is 60+ days out with LOQ
