About the Position

Shift Options

• 24-Hour Shifts: 7:00am – 7:00am
• 12-Hour Day Shift: 7:00am – 7:00pm
• 12-Hour Night Shift: 7:00pm – 7:00am

Practice Details

• Hospital-based OB/GYN coverage
• Community hospital setting (no trauma designation)
• 375 licensed beds
• EPIC documentation system
• Comprehensive Labor & Delivery services
• Supportive clinical and administrative team

Scope of Practice

Obstetrics:

• Management of low- and high-risk pregnancies
• HR interpretation (NST, CST, FSE)
• OB ultrasound performance and interpretation (Level I & Level II)
• Routine vaginal deliveries
• Low forceps deliveries
• Decision-making for C-sections
• Management of complicated deliveries (C-sections, breech, multiples, abruptions, etc.)

Gynecology:

• Surgical gynecology (open/operative/major procedures)
• Ectopic pregnancy management
• Oophorectomy (ovary removal)
• Cystectomy
• Extensive lysis of adhesions

Requirements

• Board Certified in OB/GYN (Required)
• Active California Medical License (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• Demonstrated competency in required obstetric and gynecologic procedures
• Self-Query NPDB (must be pulled within the last month at time of presentation)
• Ability to meet credentialing requirements
