About the Position

We are seeking a Locum OB/GYN Physician (Hospitalist) to provide coverage in Fresno, California. This opportunity offers flexible 12-hour and 24-hour shift options in a well-established hospital setting.

Position Details:

• Shift Options:

  • 7:00am – 7:00pm

  • 7:00pm – 7:00am

  • 7:00am – 7:00am (24-hour)

• 375-bed community hospital

• Approximately 20% Gynecology practice

• EPIC documentation system

• No trauma designation

Scope of Practice Includes:

Obstetrics

• Low and high-risk pregnancy management

• Fetal monitoring and HR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)

• OB ultrasounds (Level I & II, interpretation and performance)

• Vaginal deliveries (routine and operative)

• C-sections and complicated deliveries (breech, multiples, abruptions)

Gynecology

• Surgical gynecology (open and major procedures)

• Ectopic pregnancy management

• Oophorectomy, cystectomy

• Extensive lysis of adhesions

This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive OB/GYN hospitalist coverage in a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.

Requirements

• Board Certified in OB/GYN – Required

• Active California Medical License – Required

• BLS Certification – Required

• Proficiency in required obstetric and gynecologic procedures

• Self-Query NPDB (pulled within the last month) – Required at presentation

• Strong clinical decision-making and surgical skills

• Ability to work independently in a hospitalist model
