About the Position

🩻 Locum Radiologist Opportunity

📍 California

🏥 Facility Setting

General Acute Care Hospital (Stroke-Certified) with outpatient imaging support

🗓️ Schedule & Coverage

• Day shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Coverage needed: Late April & May dates with ongoing coverage

🧠 Scope of Work

• Hospital-based radiology coverage including Stroke CTs, ED & ICU imaging

• Interventional Radiology support and procedures

• Potential outpatient imaging coverage (contrast CT/MRI, breast biopsies)

Requirements

🔬 Required Skills & Procedures

• Acute care imaging experience

• IR procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, abscess drainage

• Biopsies (thyroid, lung, and other percutaneous biopsies)

• Lumbar punctures, barium studies, centesis procedures

• Comfortable handling moderate daily volumes of CT, X-ray, ultrasound, and IR cases

    • Dedicated radiology nurses and technologists

    • Strong after-hours and overflow read support from a regional radiology group
      
      ✅ Requirements

    • Board Certified Radiologist

    • Active State License

    • Fellowship/Residency completed

    • BLS & DEA

    • Fluoroscopy certification

    • Clean malpractice history preferred

    • Availability confirmed at time of submission
