About the Position

Seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist for locum coverage in Grass Valley, CA at a general acute care hospital setting. Responsibilities include inpatient hospital coverage, stroke CT interpretation, ED and ICU imaging studies, and outpatient support for contrasted CT/MRI and breast biopsies.

The role involves approximately 50 studies per day and 4–6 IR procedures daily, including lumbar punctures, barium studies, centesis exams with drains, CT/US-guided biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, chest tubes, and abscess drainage. EMR system utilized is Cerner. Weekend and call coverage required.

Shift Timings:

• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required
• On-call coverage required
• Specific coverage dates with ongoing potentia

Requirements

• Board Certified in Radiology
• Active California Medical License
• Completion of Residency/Fellowship (Interventional Radiology)
• BLS Certification
• Active DEA License
• CA Fluoroscopy Permit (required at submission)
• Clean Malpractice History (preferred)
• Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days of presentation)
