About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens outpatient opportunity in North Dakota. Coverage is needed for the following dates:

• June 1, 2026 – June 5, 2026

• January 4, 2027 – January 8, 2027

This is an outpatient-only assignment at a professional outpatient center with no inpatient responsibilities and no call requirement.

Schedule Details:

• Monday through Friday

• Clinic hours typically between 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

• 30-minute lunch break

• No call

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Approximately 14–16 procedures per day

• Primarily colonoscopies and EGDs

• Upper GI endoscopy including biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery or laser), and injection of varices

• Esophageal dilation and manometry

• Small bowel biopsy

• Lower GI endoscopy

• Flexible sigmoidoscopy

• Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision

The locum physician will typically work alongside other physicians in the facility.

Support Staff:

• Dedicated CRNA

• RN assigned to each room

• Endoscopy technician

• No midlevel support in the outpatient setting

Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology

• Active and unrestricted medical license

• Strong proficiency in high-volume outpatient endoscopic procedures

• Ability to work efficiently in a structured outpatient endoscopy setting
