About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated Locum Gastroenterologist for hospital-based coverage in North Dakota. This is a solo assignment providing 24-hour call coverage, including in-house procedures and patient rounding. The ideal candidate will manage a wide variety of inpatient GI cases and perform essential procedures including colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy, polypectomy, biopsies, PEG, esophageal variceal banding, and proctoscopy/flexible sigmoidoscopy. ERCP experience is highly preferred.

The locum will work independently and will not supervise other providers. EMR system in use is Epic.

Schedule:

• 24-hour call shifts (7a–7a)

• Hospital rounding for ~8 hours per shift (flexible based on patient load)

• Assignment dates include short-term blocks in November and December

Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology – Required

• Active state license or IMLC accepted – Required

• BLS and DEA certification – Required

• Clean malpractice record preferred

• Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days – Required

• Experience in general GI procedures; ERCP certification highly preferred

• Comfortable managing hospitalized GI patients solo
