About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a locum opportunity in Bismarck, ND providing hospital-based GI and 24-hour call coverage. This role includes inpatient consults, endoscopic procedures, ERCP (highly preferred), and management of hospitalized GI patients.

The provider will work independently during coverage (no additional GI onsite), performing colonoscopies, upper GI endoscopy, PEG placement, dilation, banding for GI bleeds, and other advanced procedures. Average volumes include 1–2 scopes per day, 1–2 new consults, and 5–6 daily rounds. EMR is Epic. No clinic responsibilities.

Shift Timings:

• 24-hour call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
• Includes hospital rounding and procedures
• November 23–29 (ending morning of 30th)
• December 23–January 3 (ending morning of 4th)
• 6 total 24-hour shifts

Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology – Required
• Active ND License or IMLC (pending accepted) – Required
• BLS & DEA – Required
• Clean Malpractice/Background – Preferred
• Self-Query NPDB (within 30 days) – Required
• ERCP experience/certification – Highly Preferred
