About the Position

Position Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist with Obstetrics specialization for a high-priority locum opportunity in Davenport, Iowa. This is a full-time inpatient role focused exclusively on OB services, providing anesthesia coverage for labor and delivery patients in a hospital-based setting.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: March 22 (please note availability if unable to start on this date)

• Schedule: 7 days per week coverage needed

• Physicians may work 2–3 consecutive days at a time

• Call Requirement: 24-hour in-house call shifts

• Setting: Inpatient (OB services only)

• Compensation: Inquire for details

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for Obstetrics cases only

• Coverage for approximately 2,100 deliveries annually

• 25% C-section rate

• Inpatient responsibilities at designated campus

• No clinic duties

• No CRNA coverage

• No APP supervision required

• No telehealth

Facility & Support

• Inpatient OB Hospitalist program in place

• Medical Imaging available

• Lab & Pharmacy onsite

• EMR: Cerner

Credentialing & Notes

• Urgent coverage need

• Weekend coverage as needed

• In-house call required

Requirements

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Anesthesiology – Required

• Must specialize in Obstetrics – Required

• Active Iowa Medical License – Required

• Experienced provider – Required

• Clean malpractice/background history – Required

• NPDB (pulled within last month or within 90 days) – Required
