π Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nephrology Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient renal care. This role includes hospital rounding and dialysis management, working closely with nephrologists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality kidney care.

π Key Responsibilities

Provide outpatient nephrology care, managing chronic kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, and other renal conditions

Perform inpatient nephrology consultations and hospital rounding

Conduct daily dialysis rounding for acute and chronic dialysis patients

Order and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory and imaging studies

Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans

Educate patients and families on kidney disease management and dietary modifications

Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Collaborate with nephrologists, dialysis staff, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Requirements
β Qualifications
Required:

Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license

National certification (ANCC or AANP)

Masterβs or Doctoral degree in Nursing

Active DEA license
-
Minimum 2 years of nephrology experience

Experience with outpatient and inpatient nephrology care

Knowledge of dialysis management and procedures

Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred:

Experience with hospital rounding and dialysis management

Familiarity with EMR systems

BLS and ACLS certification
