About the Position
A well-established community healthcare system in southeastern Vermont is seeking a compassionate and skilled Oncology Physician to join their outpatient oncology team. This part-time opportunity (~24 hours/week) allows you to provide personalized, patient-centered cancer care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of specialists.
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and stage cancers using clinical assessments, imaging, and labs.

Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as needed.

Manage treatment-related side effects and provide supportive care.

Educate and counsel patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and outcomes.

Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, nurses, and other oncology staff for coordinated care.

Participate in clinical trials, research initiatives, and quality improvement projects.

Mentor healthcare staff in oncology practices.

Contribute to departmental planning and efficiency initiatives.
Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology – required.

Active Vermont medical license or ability to obtain prior to start – required.

Clean malpractice history – required.

Completion of an accredited oncology residency program in the U.S. or Canada – required.

Part-time commitment (~24 hours/week) with availability for rotating call and weekends
