About the Position

Description

A hospital-based practice in Tiffin is seeking a Board-Certified General Surgeon for locum call coverage. This opportunity provides 7–10 days per month with 24-hour shifts, offering flexibility for providers seeking consistent monthly coverage.

Coverage Details:

• 7–10 days per month

• 24-hour call shifts

• Variable call schedule

• Sole General Surgeon on call

Practice Setting:

• Hospital-based

• Non-trauma center

• 5 Operating Rooms

• EMR: Epic

• 2 General Surgeons in practice

• Well-trained OR staff

• Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric

• Average 2 surgical cases per day

Procedures Required:

• General adult surgical cases

• Laparoscopic cholecystectomy

• GI endoscopy (colonoscopy and upper endoscopy)

Requirements

• Board Certified in General Surgery – Required

• Active Ohio Medical License – Required

• ACLS Certification – Required

• Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days of presentation) – Required

• Updated CV/Work History

• Completed skills checklist

• 2 current supervisory professional references
