🏥 Position Overview

A hospital-based general surgery practice in Tiffin, Ohio is seeking a Board-Certified General Surgeon for locum call coverage. This opportunity offers flexible monthly scheduling with 24-hour shifts and a supportive surgical team.

Coverage is needed approximately 7–10 days per month. The provider will serve as the only General Surgeon on call during assigned shifts.

🔎 Assignment Details

• 24-hour call shifts

• 7–10 days per month

• Upcoming coverage dates include: April 6, 7, 9, 17, 18, 19, 20

• Practice Setting: Hospital-based

• Call Schedule: Variable

• Call Ratio: Solo General Surgery call coverage

• Average 2 surgical cases per day

• Non-trauma center

• 5 Operating Rooms

• 2 General Surgeons in practice

• Well-trained OR staff

• Patient population: Adult & Geriatric

• EMR: Epic

• Travel, lodging, and rental car covered

• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate

• Adult general surgical cases

• Laparoscopic cholecystectomy

• GI endoscopy (colonoscopy and upper endoscopy)

Requirements

✅ Required Qualifications

• Board Certified in General Surgery – Required

• Active Ohio medical license – Required

• ACLS Certification – Required

• Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days of presentation) – Required

• Providers must specify available dates at time of name clear
