Position: Locum Nurse Practitioner – Cardiology
Location: Coos Bay, OR
Job Type: Locum | Full-Time (80 hours per pay period)
Start Date: March 2, 2026
Duration: 3 months with possibility of extension
Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient

🏥 Position Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiology Nurse Practitioner for a locum assignment in a collaborative cardiovascular program. This role includes a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient care with strong physician and clinical support.

The NP will rotate weekly between hospital and clinic settings, providing comprehensive cardiac care and working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.

🔎 Assignment Details

• 4 x 10-hour shifts (0730–1630)

• 50% inpatient / 50% outpatient

• Weekly rotation: one week hospital, one week clinic

• 15–18 clinic patients per day

• 8–15 hospital patients per day

• No weekend requirements

• EPIC EMR system

• 4 hours of required EPIC training

• 4 physicians on staff

• Dedicated Medical Assistant support

• Triage RN team

• Device clinic with dedicated staff

• Support in general cardiology, invasive cardiology, and electrophysiology

Requirements

✅ Required Qualifications

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner – Required

• Minimum 1+ year of Cardiology NP experience – Required

• Active Oregon license (or willing to obtain) – Required

• Active DEA – Verbal confirmation at name clear

• Self-Query NPDB (within 30 days at time of presentation) – Required

• CAQH login credentials – Required at time of offer

• Clean background; no malpractice history – Highly Preferred

• Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges
