Position Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Rheumatologist to provide comprehensive outpatient care for patients with rheumatic and autoimmune diseases in Long Island, NY. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while offering long-term professional growth and partnership potential.

Assignment Details

• Strictly outpatient practice

• 8-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient consultations for patients with rheumatic and autoimmune conditions.

• Diagnose and manage chronic diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, vasculitis, scleroderma, ankylosing spondylitis, and other connective tissue and musculoskeletal disorders.

• Interpret laboratory findings and imaging studies related to rheumatologic conditions.

• Develop individualized treatment plans including pharmacotherapy, biologics, infusion management, and lifestyle modifications.

• Monitor disease progression and treatment response through ongoing follow-up care.

• Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to ensure comprehensive patient management.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR/EHR systems.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology (BC/BE).

• Minimum 3 years of outpatient clinical experience preferred.

• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders.

• Experience managing biologic therapies and chronic disease care.

• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Commitment to delivering patient-centered, preventive-focused care.
