About the Position
An established OB/GYN practice in Silvis, Illinois is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN physician to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. This opportunity offers a full-scope practice within a medically underserved community, supported by experienced nursing staff and APPs.
Physicians will practice in a modern birthing center and outpatient clinic conveniently located on campus. The role allows flexibility in shaping the GYN portion of the practice while maintaining a strong OB presence.

- Outpatient clinic located on campus
- Choice of call options (discussed at interview)
- Partnership with local FQHC supporting community women’s health
- 40–50% low-risk pregnancy; 50–60% high-risk pregnancy
- Approximately 30% C-section rate
- GYN volume and surgeries customizable to physician preference
- Average nursery admissions: 0–3 per day
- Goal of 3 physicians in practice
- Currently supported by experienced RNs and APP coverage (growing to 2 APPs)
- EMR: Cerner (transitioning to Epic in 2025)
Required Clinical Skills
- Fetal monitoring
- FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
- OB ultrasound performance and interpretation
- Routine and complicated deliveries (including VBACs, breech, multiple births)
- C-sections and repair of 3rd/4th degree lacerations
- Office gynecology procedures (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP)
- Laparoscopic procedures including tubal ligation and LOAs
- Operative gynecologic procedures including ectopic pregnancy and ovarian surgery
Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN

BE within 3 years of residency and must become BC within 1 year of employment

- Illinois medical license (or willing to obtain)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active)
- Clean malpractice history preferred
