About the Position
A full-time Medical Physicist is sought to join a dynamic Radiation Oncology program in Boise, ID. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, safety, and quality of radiation therapy services while collaborating closely with oncology providers and clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy of all radiation measurements across radiation oncology programs through periodic checks and documentation
- Participate in department meetings and chart reviews to maintain procedural accuracy
- Oversee brachytherapy procedures for safety, accuracy, and record compliance
- Commission and calibrate radiation equipment to ensure precision and regulatory compliance
- Maintain detailed QA documentation and equipment records
- Contribute to administrative responsibilities including NRC documentation, Radiation Safety Committee participation, and policy/procedure review
- Support ongoing quality improvement and radiation safety initiatives
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Medical Physics – Required
- Current American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification – Required

If not fully certified at hire, must complete ABR certification within 3 years

- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Physicist in a cancer treatment setting – Required
- Experience in a Varian treatment environment – Highly Preferred
- Preferred experience with:

External beam treatment planning (SRS, SBRT, IMRT, 3DCRT)

Brachytherapy treatment planning

Sun Nuclear quality assurance devices

4D CT, gated radiation therapy, and Vision RT/OSMS
