About the Position

A full-time Vascular Surgeon is needed to establish and lead a community-based vascular surgery program in partnership with a major academic medical center in Findlay, OH 45840. This unique role allows you to manage a wide range of vascular cases, participate in program growth, and enjoy a flexible schedule with strong clinical support.

Position Highlights:

  • Provide advanced vascular surgical care, including:

    • Abdominal and thoracic aneurysmal disease

    • Carotid artery disease

    • Hemodialysis access

    • Peripheral vascular disease and limb salvage

  • Perform both open and endovascular procedures
  • Manage vascular conditions with medical therapy, lifestyle modification, and non-surgical interventions
  • Weekly schedule: 2 clinic days, 3 procedural/surgical days
  • 10 night/weekend call shifts per month (daytime coverage not included)
  • Collaborate with a PRN vascular surgeon, APP, and academic vascular surgeon (phone support only)
  • Supervise APPs involved in vascular care delivery
  • Work closely with cardiology, interventional radiology, and other specialties
  • Participate in program growth: recruitment of additional vascular surgeon and APP by 2027, transition to a hybrid operating room
  • Serve as a clinical faculty (Assistant or Associate Professor) with a major academic institution; role is 100% clinical, based in Findlay, OH
  • Precept and train medical students, residents, fellows, nursing staff, and allied health professionals

Requirements

  • Board Eligible (within 5 years) or Board Certified in Vascular Surgery – no exceptions
  • Ohio medical license (or willing to obtain) – required
  • DEA license – must be obtained prior to start
  • Clean malpractice and license – required
  • NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) – required
  • Candidates must indicate interest in the community and program goals
  • No visa support offered (J1/H1B not accepted)

Benefits

  • Base salary:

    • $500,000 for 0–3 years experience

    • $550,000 for 4–6 years experience

    • $600,000+ for 7+ years experience

  • Potential annual bonus up to $75,000 based on scorecard metrics
  • One-time signing bonus: $50,000
  • Relocation stipend: up to $15,000
  • Vacation: 176 hours/year with 240-hour carryover limit
  • Sick time: 120 hours accrued annually
