About the Position

A full-time Family Medicine – Obstetrics Physician is needed to help build and expand a family practice with OB services at a modern clinic in Clinton, IA 52732. Break free from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a balanced, rewarding practice with a supportive team.

Position Highlights:

  • Must be able to perform C-sections
  • Call schedule: 1:4 – predictable, non-burdensome
  • Supported by onsite medical staff including urology, podiatry, surgery, cardiology, radiation oncology, and hospitalists
  • Clinic features 3 exam rooms and a procedure room with state-of-the-art ultrasound
  • Team includes 1 BC Gynecologist, 2 OB Nurse Practitioners, and 1 FP/OB physician
  • 12 Family Practice providers on site; 2 APPs provide additional coverage
  • 7 LDRP beds in the nursery, average 1–2 nursery admissions/day
  • Practice mix: 50–60% low-risk pregnancies, 30–40% high-risk, 5–10% C-sections
  • Documentation: Cerner in hospital, eClinicalWorks in clinic
  • Accepting recent/upcoming OB Fellowship graduates who are BE (must plan to be BC within 1 year) or BC in Family Medicine
  • Not accepting Locums or visa candidates
  • Clean malpractice preferred

 

Requirements

  • Board Eligible (with plan to become BC within 1 year) or Board Certified in Family Medicine – Required
  • OB Fellowship-trained (completed prior to start) – Required
  • Iowa medical license (or willing to obtain) – Required
  • Able and willing to perform C-sections – Required
  • Clean malpractice – Preferred
  • Most recent NPDB Self-Query Report (within 30 days) – Required
