About the Position

Seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum opportunity in Lansing, Michigan at a Level I trauma, hospital-based setting. The role involves adult cardiac and general thoracic surgical coverage, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, thoracotomy, mediastinal surgery, and other complex cardiothoracic procedures. Access to 2 dedicated CV ORs (daytime) with Epic EMR and an average of ~1 case per weekend.

This position focuses on weekend call coverage and additional monthly call, supporting an established cardiothoracic surgery team.

Shift Timings:

• 24-hour call coverage
• Preferred: Friday evening to Monday morning
• Additional: 1 week of call per month

Requirements

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery – Required
• Active Michigan License (or willing to obtain) – Required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS – Required
• NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) – Required
• Clean Malpractice & License History – Highly Preferred
