About the Position

A well-established community hospital in Vermont is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Hospitalist (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) to join its collaborative inpatient team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering stability, strong clinical support, and a balanced schedule.

Position Highlights

• 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

• Rotating weekend coverage

• Structured call rotation

• No procedures required

• Strong specialty backup support

Clinical Responsibilities

• Admissions, rounding, and discharges

• Management of acute and chronic medical conditions

• Ventilator management

• Code response and rapid response participation

• Coordination of care with specialists and multidisciplinary teams

• Active participation in quality improvement initiatives

Support & Environment

• Collaborative interdisciplinary team

• Dedicated respiratory therapy, EM physicians, CRNAs, and surgical backup

• Community-focused hospital setting

• Patient population: Primarily adult and geriatric

Qualifications

• MD or DO

• Board Certified/Board Eligible (IM or FM)

• Eligible for Vermont medical licensure

• BLS & ACLS

• Experience with ventilator management and running codes

• 2–3 years Hospitalist experience preferred

• Rural health experience preferred
