About the Position

Seeking a full-time General Surgeon in Brattleboro, Vermont to provide comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and emergency surgical care. The Surgeon will perform common general surgical procedures including hernia repair, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, endoscopy, colorectal surgery, and wound management, while collaborating closely with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, PAs, hospitalists, and perioperative teams. The role emphasizes advanced operative skills, patient education, and multidisciplinary teamwork in a supportive community hospital environment.

Shift Timings:

• Day shifts: Generally 08:00–17:00 (practice-dependent)
• On-call and weekends as scheduled (not specified)

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school – Required
• Completed General Surgery Residency – Required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery – Required
• Active Vermont Medical License – Required
• DEA License – Required
• CPR for Healthcare Providers – Required
• Proficiency in surgical techniques and procedures – Required
• Clean Malpractice History – Required
