About the Position
A busy anesthesia team in Metro Detroit is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join their outpatient surgery center. This role offers varied day shifts with no weekend or on-call responsibilities, treating patients across all age groups and ASA classifications. The CRNA will administer intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics for surgical, obstetrical, medical, and dental procedures, while providing airway management and collaborating closely with anesthesiologists and perioperative staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia and manage patient care from preoperative through immediate postoperative periods
- Provide airway management and intubations for emergent and non-emergent situations
- Collaborate with the anesthesia, surgical, and perioperative team to determine appropriate interventions
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and document all findings
- Support professional development of peers and provide mentorship for new staff or students
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and community/professional activities
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, EMR documentation, and hospital policies
- Contribute to a positive workplace and customer-focused environment
Requirements
- Board Certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) [REQUIRED]
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program [REQUIRED]
- Active MI Nursing and Specialty License [REQUIRED]
- Active DEA and CSR/CDS [REQUIRED]
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications [REQUIRED]
- Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience (excluding RN training) [REQUIRED]
- Clean malpractice and license history [REQUIRED]
- Up-to-date COVID and flu vaccinations (or willingness to obtain) [REQUIRED]
- NPDB Self Query report within 30 days [REQUIRED]
- Open to H1B and J1 visa candidates
