About the Position
A growing Family Medicine practice in Bourbon, Indiana is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join their team. The practice offers a conventional Family Medicine model treating patients from pediatrics through geriatrics, providing opportunities for both clinical care and teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care including chronic disease management, dressing changes, sutures, biopsies, pap smears, and joint injections/aspirations
- Perform basic procedures such as skin tag and mole removal, suturing, and joint injections
- Work closely with one Nurse Practitioner to manage patient care
- Average daily patient census of 18–22
- Participate in teaching and supervision of Family Medicine residents
- Maintain adherence to ethical and religious directives for Catholic health care services
- Use Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
- Call schedule is 1:7 (phone only)
- Work Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., or until all patients are seen
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine [REQUIRED] (Internal Medicine not accepted)
- Indiana medical license (or eligible to obtain) [REQUIRED]
- Active DEA (or eligible to obtain) [REQUIRED]
- BLS and ACLS certification (or eligible to obtain) [REQUIRED]
- COVID-19 vaccination [REQUIRED]
- Experience treating all ages (pediatrics through geriatrics) [REQUIRED]
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) [REQUIRED]
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
