Position Overview
Seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Hematologist/Oncologist to provide outpatient oncology services with hospital consult responsibilities. The physician will oversee clinic operations and infusion services while collaborating with ER physicians and hospitalists for admissions when required.

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Clinical Responsibilities
-
Outpatient oncology and hematology patient care
-
Diagnosis, staging, precision medicine, symptom management, and treatment planning
-
Oversight of oncology/hematology clinic and infusion services
-
Hospital consults with call coverage
-
Collaboration with ER physicians and hospitalists for admissions
Infusion & Treatment Services

Chemotherapy and immunotherapy
-
Blood and platelet transfusions
-
Hormone therapy
-
Antibiotic therapy
-
Rheumatoid arthritis injections
-
Therapeutic phlebotomies
-
Physician must be onsite during all infusion treatments
Practice Environment

Solo physician practice with midlevel provider support

Dedicated clinic and infusion nursing team

Support staff includes RNs, medical assistants, front office staff, and billing/quality support

EMR Systems: iKnowMed (clinic) and Cerner (infusion services)
Patient Volume

Patients per day: 15–20

Admissions per day: 15–20

Case mix includes all tumor types

Requirements
Candidate Requirements

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology

Fellowship trained

Active California medical license

DEA registration

ACLS required if requesting moderate sedation privileges

Recent NPDB self-query

Experience managing outpatient chemotherapy and infusion services
