About the Position

A hospital-based gastroenterology program in southern Michigan is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Gastroenterologist with ERCP expertise to join a forward-thinking and growing GI service line. This opportunity supports both clinical excellence and professional development, with full staffing support and access to modern endoscopy and outpatient facilities located on campus.

The role offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient care, with strong APP support in both clinic and hospital settings. Growth-driven demand and a replacement hire create an immediate, well-established patient base. Physicians interested in teaching can engage with an active GME program.

  • Full-scope Gastroenterology: inpatient, outpatient, clinic, and rounding

Requirements

  • Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (must become Board Certified within one year) or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology
  • ERCP certification required (additional proctoring considered if needed)
  • Active Michigan medical license or willingness to obtain
  • BLS certification or willingness to obtain
  • DEA and CDS/CSR required prior to start
  • Clean malpractice and licensing history
  • 5–8 years of post-training GI experience preferred
  • ITIL and/or PMP certification preferred
  • Open to H-1B candidates only (J-1 not accepted)
  • Candidates with lapsed board certification, alternate schedules, locum interest, or long-distance commuting will not be considered
