About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for an urgent Locum opportunity in Mechanicsville, Virginia. This is a high-priority hospital call assignment with excellent compensation and multiple future coverage blocks available.

🏥 Practice Environment

• Hospital-based GI coverage

• Adult inpatient, hospital, and clinic consults

• Onsite lab and X-ray

• Outpatient Gastroenterology & Internal Medicine support

• No trauma designation

🔧 Required Procedures

• ERCP 🚨 (Required)

• EGD & Colonoscopy

• Esophageal dilation & manometry

• Small bowel biopsy

• Liver biopsy

• Sigmoidoscopy

• Management of GI bleeds & varices

• PEG placement

• EUS (Preferred)

📊 Average Volume: ~8 procedures per week

✅ Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified – Gastroenterology

• Active Virginia license

• ERCP experience required

• Clean malpractice history (required for temp privileges)

• Flu vaccine (required)

• COVID vaccine (highly preferred)

• NPDB Self-Query report (dated within 30 days)

• Must be available for at least one open shift to be considered
