🩺 Key Responsibilities

• 🏥 Hospital-based Interventional Radiology coverage

• 🚑 Stroke CTs, ED, ICU, inpatient, and OB imaging

• 🧪 Perform IR and diagnostic procedures as needed

• 🏢 Possible outpatient imaging coverage (contrast CT/MRI, breast biopsies)

• 📊 Average workload: ~50 studies/day + 4–6 procedures/day

🔧 Required & Preferred Procedures

Interventional Procedures:

• Thoracentesis & Paracentesis

• Nephrostomy tube placement

• Chest tubes

• Intra-abdominal abscess drainage

• Suprapubic catheter placement

Biopsies & Diagnostic Procedures:

• Thyroid & lung biopsies

• CT/US-guided biopsies

• Lumbar punctures

• Barium studies

• Various centesis exams with drains

📈 Daily Case Mix (Approximate)

• CT: 12–15

• X-Ray: 15–20

• Ultrasound: 8–12

• IR Procedures: 4–6 (mostly non-complex, percutaneous)
